Location: Home Office

Responsibilities:

  • Prepare, examine, and analyze accounting records, financial statements, and other financial reports to assess accuracy, completeness, and conformance to reporting and procedural standards.
  • Prepare and submit monthly financial packages to CFO & VP Controller as well as multiple ownership groups.
  • Work directly with Executive Director and Director of Administrative Services at multiple communities.
  • Answer accounting and financial questions by researching and interpreting data; complete variance reports.
  • Assist with requests from our audit and tax partners.
  • Participate in the annual budget process.
  • Assist with ad hoc projects.
  • Contribute to team effort by accomplishing related results as needed.

Requirements:

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting required.
  • 4+ years’ experience with month-end close.
  • Proficient in Word and Excel; excellent computer skills.
  • Experience with accounting software. Experience with Yardi is a plus.
  • Ability to communicate effectively verbally and in writing.
  • Ability to interact with associates and vendors in a professional manner.
  • Knowledge of general ledger systems and procedures, financial chart of accounts, and corporate procedures.
  • Able to read and understand technical forms and financial reports.
  • Detail-oriented, professional attitude, reliable.
  • Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously.
  • Strong organizational and analytical skills.
  • Willingness to establish and maintain effective working relationships.
