Summary

The Senior Accountant will play a key role in supporting our accounting operations by maintaining financial records, preparing reports, and ensuring compliance with accounting standards and SOX requirements. This role requires a strong understanding of accounting principles, attention to detail, and the ability to work effectively in a team environment. The role will report to the Director of Accounting, Consolidations and Reporting.

Job Responsibilities and tasks

  • Assist in the preparation and maintenance of general ledger accounts. Perform regular reconciliations and ensure accuracy of entries.
  • Compliance with applicable/assigned SOX controls.
  • Support month-end and year-end closing processes by preparing necessary journal entries and account reconciliations.
  • Perform variance analysis and provide recommendations for corrective actions.
  • Perform ad-hoc financial analysis as required by senior management. Β 
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to identify opportunities for process improvements.
  • Assist with internal and external audits by providing necessary documentation and responding to audit inquiries.
  • Assist at quarter end and year end in the creation of financial statements.

Required Qualifications

  • Bachelor's Degree in accounting from an accredited university or college.
  • Minimum of 3 years of experience; Manufacturing experience preferred.
  • Big 4 accounting experience preferred.
  • CPA preferred.
