Arcadis is seeking a Senior Project Manager to join our Design & Engineering team within the North America Places group. We are looking to grow our team of skilled multi-discipline engineers and engineering consultants throughout North America. This is a key location based position.

Role description:


As the Senior Civil Engineering Project Manager, you will successfully manage, lead and expand a practice as a seller/doer to execute design tasks and deliver construction documents for civil infrastructure/site development focusing on public and private client market sectors. This role is to be based out of our Houston office and requires a minimum of 2 days a week in office and the remainder of the week is working from home.


Role accountabilities:



  • Develop and grow a global practice based in the region and supported by local/regional/national client base. Ideally this person will be an engaged, well known, respected member of the local market with a strong existing client base. 

  • Develop a team and identify leadership to execute public and private civil infrastructure and site development focusing on single and multi-family residential, institutional and commercial development 

  • Manage projects profitably, transition work to qualified staff, grow and mentor staff, and act as a positive leader and mentor

  • Work directly with clients, design staff and regulatory agencies to obtain permits and project approvals 

  • Oversees community and stakeholder communications regarding high profile projects and participates as needed

  • Presents executive reports to stakeholders and approves new projects in specific programs as required

  • Assist with business development/client management and staff development to grow a regional civil practice 
     


Qualifications & Experience:



  • BS in Civil Engineering 

  • Licensed (PE) Civil Engineer 

  • 15 years + experience in the Civil/Site Development Infrastructure sector

  • Experience managing and successfully delivering civil/site development infrastructure projects

Actual salaries will vary and are based on several factors, such as experience, education, budget, internal equity, project and location.
