Position: Senior Construction Estimator - Commercial Buildings & Infrastructure

Trisian-Global Consulting LLC is currently recruiting a highly experienced and skilled Senior Construction Estimator to work on Commercial Developments in the Energy Sector.Β Β As a Senior Construction Estimator, you will be responsible for accurately estimating the costs of construction projects from start to finish. You will work closely with project managers, architects, engineers, and subcontractors to develop detailed cost estimates that will help make informed decisions.

Core Skills/Must Haves:

  • Bachelors Degree or equivalent
  • Management Experience - 3 years within construction
  • Construction/project management experience with cost estimates in new construction, renovations, and infrastructure.
  • Experience utilizing RS Means.
  • Working capabilities in MS Office (excel, word, PowerPoint, Adobe Writer, Visio, and basic Windows environment)
  • Knowledge of Procore, Smartsheet, and MS Project is a plus.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Analyze project plans and specifications to determine the scope of work and develop a comprehensive understanding of the project requirements
  • Prepare detailed cost estimates for materials, labor, and equipment based on project plans and specifications
  • Conduct thorough research to obtain accurate pricing information for materials and subcontractor services
  • Collaborate with project managers to develop project schedules and identify potential risks and opportunities
  • Review and analyze bids from subcontractors and suppliers to ensure accuracy and competitiveness
  • Present cost estimates and proposals to clients and participate in negotiations as needed
  • Monitor project costs and provide regular updates to project managers and clients
  • Develop and maintain relationships with subcontractors and suppliers to ensure competitive pricing and availability of materials and services
  • Mentor and train junior estimators and provide guidance on estimating best practices

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Construction Management, Engineering, or related field
  • Minimum of 7 years of experience as a Construction Estimator, with at least 3 years in a senior/supervisoryΒ role
  • Extensive knowledge of construction methods, materials, and costs
  • Construction/project management experience with cost estimates in new construction, renovations, and infrastructure
  • Knowledge and experience utilizing RS Means
  • The ability to work in a fast-paced environment and manage multiple priorities
  • Proficient in Project Management software, and financial accounting systems
  • Knowledge of Procore, Smartsheet, and MS Project is a plus
  • Strong Personal Computer working capabilities in MS Office (excel, word, PowerPoint, Adobe Writer, Visio, and basic Windows environment)
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
  • Excellent communication and negotiation skills
  • Proficient in using estimating software and Microsoft Office Suite
  • Ability to work under pressure and meet tight deadlines
  • Willingness to travel to project sites as needed
