Senior Construction Project Manager

Our Senior Project Managers at Centrica Business Solutions are responsible for all aspects of project planning, procurement and execution with a high level of focus on customer service, safety, risk management, quality profitability and cash-flow. This position will actively work with peers and functional leadership to develop and continuously improve processes and procedures aimed at providing value to customers. Additionally, the Senior Solar Project Manager will provide leadership, coaching and mentoring to less experienced team members.

Our Senior Project Managers contributions to the team include:

• Working closely with Business Development team members providing recommendations on how to enhance and improve building and/or site configuration,
• Collaborating with development teams to create cost budgets and refine scopes of work,
• Reviewing and approving customer contacts and agreements,
• Developing, managing, and directing project plans and schedules while proactively identifying project risk management and implementing mitigation strategies,
• Procuring, managing and coordinating project resources (i.e. material, subcontractors) to ensure effective project delivery which includes timely execution of the project close-out process,
• Owning and controlling Profit & Loss (P&L) of assigned projects and ensuring projects meet financial targets; this includes owning project billings and collections,
• Identifying, developing, and improving standard work in conjunction with Operations Manager,
• Providing mentoring and coaching, as well as shares knowledge with our Project Managers and Assistant Project Managers.

The core components of success are (i.e. must haves):

• High School Diploma or equivalent
• At least 10 years of experience managing commercial solar projects
• At least 15 years of demonstrated success in Project Management or Project Engineering in the construction industry of projects in excess of $5MM
• Active Driver’s License

The following are a definite plus, so if you’ve got it be sure to tell us!

• A Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Construction Management, Project Management, or Business 
• Experience in MEP project management and/or performance contracting (highly preferred)
• Experience working with local vendors and subcontractors (highly preferred)
• Project Management Professional (PMP) Certification
• Journeyman electrician or electrical contractor’s license
• NABCEP certification

The travel required for this position is approximately up to 50% of the time and will be mostly regional.

The US base salary range for this full-time position is $115,000-130,000 + bonus + benefits.  Within the range, individual pay is determined by work location and additional factors, including job-related skills, experience, and relevant education or training.
