DescriptionRESPONSIBILITIES
- Monitor and analyze accounting data and produce financial reports and analysis of actuals vs. plan. Work with Ops management each month so they understand their financial statements and impact of decisions.
- Partner with Operations management to develop plans and provide any support related to plant.
- Analyze product cost and variances associated with purchased and manufactured goods to determine root causes and propose corrective actions.
- Perform annual cost roll in ERP after working with operations to understand causes of production variances; review BOMs and routers for accuracy.
- Work with FP&A and Plant Manager to develop annual manufacturing budget and periodic forecasts.
- Prepare and analyze inventory reserve calculation for assigned locations, as well as assist management with identifying and addressing inventory approaching additional reserve.
- Recommend improvements to internal controls related to inventory and ensure inventory-related orders (such as PO, SO, WO, service order) are closed timely.
- Work with Manufacturing to understand expenses and deviations from standard cost.
- Perform and report on results of periodic audits of Inventories (Work in Process/Finished Goods/Raw Materials).
- Develop and present manufacturing KPIs and improvements to monthly reporting.
- Propose and implement improvements to operations efficiency.
- Prepare journal entries and reconciliations as assigned. Responsible for all accounts related to inventory and cogs as well as revenue recognition.
- Provide consistent, timely and accurate reports and analysis to drive improvements.
- Assist with SOX controls and review/audit to make sure internal controls for Ops are followed.
- Assist in special assignments as needed.

EDUCATION & EXPERIENCE QUALIFICATIONS
- BA/BS in Business with an emphasis in Accounting/Finance with 5+ years of manufacturing cost accounting experience.
- MBA/CPA/CMA is a plus.
- An understanding of GAAP in relation to inventory.
- Oracle Cloud experience or system implementation experience is a plus
JOB REQUIREMENTS
- 5+ years’ experience with standard costing or general accounting in a manufacturing environment.

- Previous ERP experience required (Oracle, SAP, SyteLine, etc.)
- Exposure to HFM and SmartView is a plus
