Essential Duties & Responsibilities

  • Design products from initial concept stage through to production in a professional and time efficient manner
  • Produce Solid works 3D Models and Detail Drawings to provide solutions in accordance with design and specifications' requirements
  • Create shop level fabrication drawings from information provided by Engineer, Project Management and/or sales, following company standards and customer specifications
  • Prepare assembly and detailed models under direction of the Application Engineer
  • Prepare Piping and Instrument Diagrams (P&ID's)
  • Prepare Bill of Materials (BOM)
  • Create Dimensional surveys and preparing 'As Built' Drawings
  • Liaise with Design Manager, Project Managers and Engineers and assists in interpreting project requirements
  • Assist in the development of company design systems, standards, and procedures
  • Contribute development ideas for new and existing products
  • Support work for proposals and projects working to tight deadlines
  • Perform engineering check and drafting check of drawings, update, and revise drawings
  • Participate in design reviews, where required
  • Continuously monitor the design/drafting progress and report to PM
  • Review and redline Process Flow Diagrams, P&IDs, and design drawings.
  • Develop accessory list, and identify long lead items
  • To organize approval process of documents as required between departments
  • Create and maintain part numbering for parts in ERP system
  • Be responsible for making quick quality checks on deliverables being released to customers or manufacturing
  • Provide estimating support for RFQ (create instrument and valve list, gather ERP pricing); work closely with project management and sales to ensure the technical aspects of the estimate are accurate.
  • Proactively anticipate any problems / Issues / Risks during execution of the project and mitigate before they occur.

Required Skills or Tools:

  • Ability to effectively communicate
  • High attention to detail and pride in work output
  • Able to Read and Interpret Engineering Drawings (Process Flow Diagrams, General Arrangement, P&ID, Pressure Vessel, Piping, etc.)
  • Excellent Problem-Solving Skills; ability to define/understand the problem, identify constraints,and work towards the best possible solution.
  • Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal Able to read and interpret engineering drawings (Process Flow Diagrams, General Arrangements, P&IDs, Pressure Vessel, Piping, etc.)
  • Ability to work outside in manufacturing, field processing, and production site atmospheres.
  • Ability to effectively apply Industry Codes and Standards; ASME Section VIII, Div. 1 Pressure Vessels, ASME B31.3 Piping, AWS, API, ASTM, NACE, OSHA, etc.)
  • Ability and experience to design for cost effective fabrication
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite

Required: Solidworks design software

Pluses:

  • Working knowledge and applied experience with NACE MR0175
  • Knowledge of structural skid packages.
  • Knowledge of COMPRESS vessel code software

Job Type: Full-time

Salary: $80,000.00 - $95,000.00 per year
