About your role:


This is a hands-on, full-time position with day-to-day duties that include performing design and sizing of equipment, producing datasheets and specifications, hydraulic calculations and analyses, 3D modeling support, construction drawing reviews, and any other mechanical components utilized in heavy industrial/manufacturing or oil & gas facilities or required by our clients.


Essential Duties and Major Responsibilities



  • Mechanical Engineering

    • Produces equipment datasheets and specifications.

    • Develops and reviews pipe specifications while ensuring correct pump/hydraulic and equipment sizing calculations.

    • Creates pipes, valves, and fittings Bills of Material (BOMs).

    • Performs equipment, pipe, and technical valve evaluations on contractor bid packages.

    • Coordinate with other discipline engineers and designers.



  • Construction Documents

    • Produces line and equipment lists.

    • Performs 3D modeling support & isometric reviews.

    • Reviews construction drawings and documents.



  • Construction Support

    • Performs site walk-downs, including as-builts to support construction efforts.

    • Works with contractors to answer RFIs, produce project cost and bid packages, and mechanical scope of work documents.



  • Stress Analysis

    • Develops models in CAESAR II to perform stress analysis.

    • Develops stress analysis reports.



  • Assist with other duties as assigned.

Company Hours



This position works 8:00 AM to 5:00 PM. Hours vary and are dependent on business needs.



40 Hour Work Week



Monday through Friday, Hours may vary with the workload.



Evenings/Weekends/OT



As needed to satisfy the requirements of the position.

Mechanical Engineer 4



10+ years of experience practicing discipline-specific engineering on multidiscipline project teams required. Professional Engineer License required.


3+ years of leadership experience required.



Bachelor’s Degree required.



In addition to the essential duties listed above, this position should set goals and determine how to accomplish results with few or no guidelines to follow, although precedents may exist, the supervisor provides broad guidance and overall direction. This position has immediate oversight of team members most of the time performing the same or directly related work as those the position leads.
