We are seeking a Senior Software Engineer - Energy to join our Technology team. In this role, you will architect, develop, and optimize applications that support DNV’s software solutions for utilities. You’ll collaborate with cross-functional teams—including Product Managers, Designers, and other Engineers—to build robust software tools that enable energy audits, generate actionable recommendations, and streamline rebate application processes for energy efficiency, EV charging, and distributed generation products.
You will play a pivotal role in ensuring our technology solutions are reliable, scalable, secure and aligned with program goals, while delivering a seamless experience to utility customers and contractors.
The successful candidate will have multifaceted responsibilities and work collaboratively across software development and support teams to develop software products, services, and solutions along with implementing, monitoring and optimizing new and current systems for vulnerabilities. This position also partners with DNV Product Managers, DevOps, Business Analysts, Data Science & Analytics, Program operations staff, Software vendors and External development partners to build software solutions for our clients.
This role is based at our DNV office in Houston, TX, presenting a dynamic hybrid schedule where employees will typically spend three (3) days per week working from either a DNV office or client location/site. For California, Washington, New York, Washington, D.C., Illinois, and Maryland: “DNV provides a reasonable range of compensation for this role. The actual compensation is influenced by a wide array of factors, including but not limited to skill set, level of experience, and specific location. For the states of California, Washington, New York, Washington, D.C., Illinois, and Maryland only, the starting pay range for this role is $120,000 - $145,000.
