About your role:


This is a hands-on, full-time professional position for a structural AutoCAD designer. The day-to-day duties include performing the design of equipment foundations, equipment towers, building structures, pipe racks, platforms, and any other structural components utilized in heavy industrial/manufacturing facilities or required by our clients.


Essential Duties and Major Responsibilities



  • 3D Modeling

    • Work with a structural engineer to understand the nature of the design.

    • Prepare 3D models of the structural design using AutoCAD and Advanced Steel.

    • Coordinate with all disciplines to create an accurate and complete model.



  • Construction Drawings

    • Prepare final construction drawings to reflect the engineered/modeled design.

    • Update drawings per engineer comments.



  • Assist with other duties as assigned.

This position works 8:00 AM to 5:00 PM. Hours vary and are dependent on business needs.



40-Hour Work Week



Monday through Friday, Hours may vary with the workload.



Evenings/Weekends/OT



As needed to satisfy the requirements of the position.

Structural Designer 3



7+ years of industrial design experience using AutoDesk products required.



Associate’s Degree or equivalent experience preferred.




In addition to the essential duties listed above, this role should have advanced communication skills, more experience with leadership and be an expert user of technology and software required to execute daily tasks. This position will be competent in required job skills and knowledge and have the ability to adapt to changes in the work environment.
