The Awty International School seeks a full-time Upper School History Teacher for the 2022-2023 school year. The school is looking for an experienced, hands-on teacher who interacts with students in a creative manner and can take complex concepts to a level the students will comprehend. The ideal candidate should demonstrate a commitment to teaching in a diverse, multicultural environment.

This is a full-time salaried position (20 instructional periods per week, plus other assigned duties).

 

Minimum Requirements:

 

  • BA or equivalent in Social Studies
  • Experience teaching World History and/or U.S. History in an Upper School setting
  • Work authorization in the United States

 

Ideal Candidate:

 

  • Advanced degree
  • Experience with the IB Diploma Programme
  • Experience with the OIB (BFI) French Curriculum
  • Intermediate proficiency or better in French
