Warehouse Lead

The Warehouse Lead is responsible for supporting operations of the Distribution Center in the areas of receiving, stocking, fulfillment and shipping. Also accountable for providing guidance and instruction to DC team members in order to achieve key results and exceed quality and safety standards, while adhering to the organizations values.

 Essential Duties & Responsibilities: 

• Analyze incoming and outgoing orders to determine the most efficient and effective way to organize items for shipment or unload, within the Distribution Center’s Standard Operating Procedures
• Operate forklifts and other equipment, including but not limited to the following: pallet jack, order picker, electric stand-up, sit-down, L.P. and reach truck
• Operate RF scanners to perform essential warehouse tasks related to inventory management and distribution
• Contribute to a culture of accountability, reporting, and inspection by communicating delivery or shipment failures, comparing equipment conditions to standards, and acting if other discrepancies arise
• Perform various administrative tasks, such as tracking/scheduling of shipment, and providing POD as requested

• Coach, develop, and motivate employees to be safe and efficient
• Understand and enforce company policies, procedures, and systems within all areas of operation
• Maintain all housekeeping standards set by the warehouse manager and the organization
• Uphold an appropriate and legal level of confidentiality of information, as deemed by the TWG
• Interact with peers and customers in a professional and respectful manner
• Provide additional support to team members as needed
• Assist upper management with the implementation of warehouse initiatives and projects
• Help upper management author warehouse processes and procedures or identify cost saving initiatives

 Skills & Knowledge

• Understanding of basic Microsoft Office and other job-related applications
• Ability to read, write and speak English fluently preferred
• Prior WH experience preferred
• HS/GED or 2+ years of WH experience preferred
• Previous leadership and management experience preferred
• Ability to stoop. bend and lift 50lbs
• Ability to work well under pressure in a team environment and effectively communicate with team members.
• Working conditions are that of a distribution center; employee is occasionally exposed to high weather conditions and high noise levels.
