Role Overview:


We are looking for an experienced Cloud Phone Administrator specializing in Zoom Phone operations on a retail-oriented phone system configuration. This role is focused on managing and continually refining configurations to support our high-volume call environment. The ideal candidate will have exceptional attention to detail and a deep understanding of communication workflows specifically tailored to retail environment using Zoom.

Responsibilities:

  • Oversee, maintain, and optimize Zoom Phone configurations across all Group 1 Automotive retail locations.
  • Regularly review existing system setups to identify and implement enhancements for improved efficiency and customer experience.
  • Collaborate closely with internal teams to gather business requirements and customize Zoom Phone solutions accordingly.
  • Provide training to users and management on Zoom Phone features to positively impact daily operations.
  • Ensure configurations efficiently handle high-volume call traffic.
  • Offer ongoing support, guidance, and best practice training for effective Zoom Phone utilization.
  • Occasional travel to retail locations for installation, feature roll-outs, training sessions, or additional support as needed.

Qualifications:

  • Proven experience managing Zoom Phone operations, particularly in high-volume retail settings.
  • 1-2 years basic IT & Telephony experience
  • Host Cloud Telephony/Phone system experience
  • Extensive knowledge of retail-focused telephony configurations and workflows.
  • Voice Background - voice isolation or noise cancellation experience a plus. 
  • Demonstrated experience in analyzing, assessing, and optimizing complex phone systems.
  • Excellent analytical, organizational, and problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to effectively communicate technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders.

 

Preferred Experience:

  • Background in automotive retail or comparable customer-focused, high-traffic retail industries.
  • Workplace administration
  • Experience with Shortel and Mitel Phone systems 
  • Zoom Phone Certification or equivalent credentials.
  • Knowledge in understanding and interpreting voice/data invoicing.
