JOB SUMMARY & OBJECTIVES:
The HR Coordinator provides support for varied Human Resources related functions including recruitment, HRIS database and reports, day-to day administrative functions, personnel record retention, department initiatives and compliance. This role assists with various programs and supports the Human Resources department through completion of regularly assigned duties and special projects.
ESSENTIAL JOB DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES:
• Partner with hiring managers and Talent Acquisition team to facilitate the hiring process.
• Coordinate onboarding of new employees, including but not limited to preparing notification emails, working with hiring managers and others to develop the new hire orientation agenda and schedule, and preparing arrival packets.
• Maintain accurate employee files and administration of the HRIS system; prepare and analyze HRIS reports and gather data for regulatory reporting as assigned.
• Protect and maintain sensitive and confidential information.
• Coordinate offboarding process.
• Assist with the posting of required state and federal employment notices to ensure compliance.
• Assist employees with questions regarding Firm policies and basic benefits and direct to appropriate personnel when required.
• Assist with tracking and processing for all HR related invoices ensuring items are submitted accurately and timely.
• Perform other duties, projects and responsibilities as assigned.
EDUCATION:
REQUIRED -
• High School diploma or GED equivalent required.
PREFERRED -
• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience preferred.
SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE:
REQUIRED -
• 2-3 years relevant experience working in HR.
• Proficiency with MS Office 365 including Outlook, Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.
• Prior experience with an HRIS system.
• Strong oral, written and verbal communication skills; excellent follow-up skills.
• Excellent organizational, interpersonal and problem-solving skills.
• Ability to manage multiple projects, work independently, prioritize workloads, and meet deadlines.
• Ability to use tact and discretion and maintain utmost confidentiality of personnel information.
• Ability to deliver exceptional customer service at all times, exercise courtesy and diplomacy with Firm personnel and representatives outside of the company.
• Highly dependable and demonstrated consistent, effective administrative and clerical performance for the accomplishment of responsibilities and defined objectives.
• Strong administrative and data management skills.
• Must be able to commute to downtown Houston for in-office work.
• Must be flexible and willing to work additional hours as needed.
PREFERRED -
• Prior experience with iManage and Workday preferred.
• Experience with e-Verify preferred.
• Minimum of 3 years of experience within a corporate HR environment preferred.
Salary Information
The actual salary offered will depend on a variety of factors, including without limitation, the qualifications of the individual applicant for the position, years of relevant experience, level of education attained, certifications or other professional licenses held, and if applicable, the location in which the applicant lives and/or from which they will be performing the job. This role is non-exempt meaning it is overtime pay eligible.
