Geosyntec is currently seeking a highly-skilled Regional Recruiter to join our growing Talent Acquisition team. This position can sit in any of our Geosyntec offices in the United States and offers the option to work fully remote from your home office. This position is responsible for the full lifecycle of recruitment and selection of top talent. The role will support the talent needs for the assigned business areas with a focus on more senior roles and difficult-to-fill roles. The Recruiter serves as a talent advisor, is responsible for developing/maintaining a strong talent pipeline, and serving as a recruiting process expert. This role will be an advisor to the business with respect to market trends, talent demands, employment law, and compliance.









Essential Duties and Responsibilities






  • Manages the entire recruitment lifecycle; including sourcing, screening, interviewing and closing top talent;
  • Establishes a creative sourcing & recruitment strategy to proactively find and screen quality candidates;
  • Partners with the business to implement our diversity and inclusion initiatives to support the company’s growth, and increase diversity at all levels;
  • Manages the candidate experience, soliciting feedback, communicating status to candidates and hiring managers;
  • Partners with the HR department on recordkeeping, data management, job requisitions/postings, job offers, social media initiatives, advertising, and best practices;
  • Serves as a talent advisor and consults leaders on effective strategies to achieve talent needs and educate and train on recruiting processes;
  • Educates hiring managers on recruitment processes and laws impacting the hiring of human capital;
  • Develops relationships throughout the region; meet regularly with hiring managers to understand business needs to develop and recommend effective and strategic recruiting strategies;
  • Builds and maintains strong relationships with HR Business Partners and hiring managers to plan and execute talent needs;
  • Executes a compliant recruiting process with passive candidates, while managing positions and candidates in an applicant tracking system;
  • Reviews and recommends process improvements to help ensure our recruitment process is efficient, effective, and proactively meeting the needs of the business;
  • Leverages effective sourcing strategies to attract active and passive candidates. Uses employee referral, recruiting boards, internet, social media, industry and community organizations to build a strong talent pool - including diverse talent;
  • Identifies and manages strategic search firm relationships;
  • Stays abreast of external marketplace/industry trends and shares recommendations for consideration; and
  • May be involved in other recruitment-based programs, including diversity initiatives, student outreach efforts, immigration, manager training opportunities, etc.








Education and Licensure






  • Bachelor’s Degree in Business, Human Resources or related field (preferred)








Skills, Experience and Qualifications






  • At least 5 years of recruitment experience; or equivalent combination of education and experience. (required)
  • Experience recruiting in a professional service firm or Architecture Engineering Construction (AEC) Consulting industry is. (preferred)
  • A strong network of recruiter and candidate relationships in the environmental/engineering industry. (preferred)
  • Experience with an Applicant Tracking Systems. (required)
  • Must be able to work with a high sense of urgency coupled with the ability to remain flexible and creative within a dynamic environment and deliver on commitments and deadlines.
  • A solid understanding of US employment law and OFCCP. (preferred)
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills. (required)
  • Strong interpersonal skills and proven relationship-building ability. (required)
  • Knowledge and ability to leverage industry best practices and trends. (required)
  • Ability to travel occasionally. (required)
