TEMPORARY CONTRACT ROLE - April through July

SUMMARY

This position will help support strategies to recruit and source high-quality engineering and manufacturing leadership candidates for Westlake’s Performance and Essential Materials manufacturing facilities in North America. This position will represent the Westlake brand to prospective candidates, building long-term relationships and ensuring a positive candidate experience.

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

May include, but are not limited to, the following:

  • Recognized by clients as a strategic partner and trusted advisor through demonstration of in-depth understanding of client business needs, industry trends and candidate capabilities and potential.
  • Performs recruiting and sourcing activities ensuring timely filling of high-caliber talent for technical, engineering and manufacturing leadership positions.
  • Serves as primary recruitment partner to assigned hiring managers for full recruitment lifecycle, including completion of a thorough intake sessions, development of candidate sourcing strategy, initial phone screening, interviewing, selection, offer and acceptance
  • Develops candidate talent pipelines through multiple sourcing channels including applicant tracking systems, social & professional networks, employee referrals, alumni networks, social media, job boards, military job boards, and search engines to identify and attract top talent
  • Ensures hiring-manager skill development (interviewing skill and hiring processes) before and during recruitment process
  • Provides ongoing communication to applicants and hiring managers to ensure timely coordination of a candidate's movement through the hiring process
  • Utilizes Applicant Tracking System (Workday Recruitment) to accurately record and manage recruitment process and data integrity
  • Represents Westlake to prospective candidates, generating excitement and interest in Westlake careers
  • Manages relationships, leveraging and influencing outcomes where appropriate, and ensuring timely follow-up with Westlake clients and candidates
  • Monitors and reports on key performance indicators such as time to fill and time to hire, proactively making recommendations as appropriate
  • Manages cost per hire minimizing use of recruitment agencies
  • Attends recruiting fairs and events as appropriate.

EDUCATION, EXPERIENCE AND QUALIFICATIONS

  • Bachelor’s degree with a minimum (7) seven years of related full lifecycle recruiting experience.
  • Proven track record of sourcing expertise, preferably for engineers and manufacturing leaders in the chemical industry.
  • Strong project management and organizational skills with an ability to stay calm under pressure.
  • Thorough knowledge of the principles and best practices of talent acquisition, including applicable federal, state and local laws.
  • Demonstrated ability to independently guide hiring managers through full-cycle recruitment process that results in quality hires.
  • Proven sourcing expertise (e.g., creative direct sourcing, recruitment advertising, social media).
  • Advanced skills in Applicant Tracking System (ATS), preferably Workday.
  • Advanced proficiency in Excel, high degree of data literacy, and ability to report qualitative data in a meaningful way.
  • Demonstrated knowledge of employment laws (OFCCP, AAP, Title V).
  • Diversity Outreach and Outreach programs experience desired.
  • Strong oral and written communication and presentation skills.
  • Ability to work with confidential information.
  • Ability and willingness to travel.

PHYSICAL DEMANDS

While performing the duties of this job, the employee is frequently required to sit; stand; walk; use hands to touch, handle, or feel; reach with hands and arms; and talk or hear.  The employee is occasionally required to stoop, kneel, or crouch.  The employee must regularly lift and/or move up to 10 pounds and occasionally lift and/or move up to 25 pounds.  Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, and ability to adjust focus.

WORK ENVIRONMENT

The noise level in the work environment is usually moderate as normally based in an office.  Travel including air travel or auto travel may occasionally be required.
